Hi!
Poke bowl, poke bowl…I have heard so much about these things. I’ve heard about it from co-workers, to seeing new food places suddenly pop up everywhere where I live, and it all seems to be about poke. I had NO idea what it was, to be honest…
But a friend of mine asked me earlier this week if I wanted to go with her to have a poke bowl at a place called Butterfish – her treat. I agreed, and I was overall pretty happy with it! It was so filling, though. I couldn’t even finish a small bowl. It felt so unusual eating a bowl of what basically is sushi, sans the seaweed!!!
So, I have tried it. Funny enough, my outfit I’m about to show you matches the aforementioned poke bowl itself…
Which was not planned, by the way…
I really, really love this outfit. The blouse is a hand-me-down from my mom, so I’m not sure how old it is. It’s very comfortable and casual, though!
I think this is my favorite headband, ever. It’s just so COLORFUL!!! It adds a pop of color to the otherwise neutral-tone outfit. 🙂
Lastly, the same friend who took me for the poke bowl, we ended up going to Teazer World Tea Market. I hadn’t been in soooooo long, but I knew exactly what I wanted there.
I wanted the Tiger Spice Chai, which is amaaaaazing. I’m not a tea person, but this drink…oh my goodness. It’s definitely my favorite. It has that cinnamon-like taste to it. I was in heaven drinking this thing!!! ♥♥♥ Doesn’t it look delicious?
So yes, friends…this week was all about trying new food and being reacquainted with old tea drinks from the past.
I’ve always loved brown with rainbow pastels; it reminds me of fruit-filled chocolates and the ’70s. Your shoes are especially chocolatey! And the headband is one of my favorites of yours too. 🙂
It sounds like you had quite a culinary adventure with the poke bowl. I’m afraid I’m not so brave. That’s probably why I admire your fearless spirit. 🙂
