Merry Christmas from the Elf!

 Merry Christmas, world!!!!!! 🎄❤️🌟

As you can see, I’m all elf-ed out today and in the Christmas spirit full blast. I hope you all are enjoying this beautiful holiday!

Like my dress?! It was a gift from my mom and sister at the start of December. The faux fur shawl I bought on Amazon! ❤️

How do you like to enjoy Christmas? Do you have any traditions you partake in? Last night on Christmas Eve, my mom, sister and I enjoyed sugar cookies and ate a pizza we ordered (creating a new tradition!). On this Christmas Day, we opened presents.

The great thing about traditions is that they can be enjoyed in any way (with family, friends, a partner, or create your own tradition by yourself)! 🌟

Merry Christmas, from me to you. I wish you all peace and happiness!!! ❤️

Fuzz Life

Happy Almost Christmas, and welcome!!! 💜

The cold weather is a comin’, so I stocked up on some nice winter attire, and today I want to show my fuzzy purple (pink-ish?) jacket. Because it’s all about zee fuzz.

Fuzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Love that word…

I get ridiculously happy when pieces of an outfit that were bought at different times and places match PERFECTLY. Even my little butterflies matched!

This fuzzy jacket came from H&M. I found it in the girl’s department and knew it was meant to be.  🌸

I also found these super cute satin shoes at H&M for $5…and let me tell you…they are the most comfortable shoes I’ve EVER purchased!!!

I made some new accessories last weekend!!! Aren’t these so happy and cute? YES! The unicorn is a pin and the seashell is a ring. 💜

So the other day, I was talking to someone about cars, and the discussion turned to our first cars. I have a lot of stories about my first car, which inspired me to write all about it:

Sam’s Story Time: The Adventures of my First Car

So this is a new thing I might try doing from time to time, for a laugh!!! I will share a story with you all that will hopefully make you giggle…and I’m sure this one will! 😉

We all remember our first car. Some of us look back on it fondly, while others look back on it with flared nostrils and a bitter taste in our mouth. I would fall into the latter category…

Once upon a time, I bought my first car…I was a young 21 years of age…it was a small and cute car, mmkay? But it didn’t take long for the insanity to begin. As per usual, the little things surface in the beginning, in which you shrug off as no big deal.

Fast forward a few months later, and when the inside door handle decided to come off ever so easily, it was just the beginning of what was to come, little did I know…

The best time was when my power-steering-fluid-holder-thing somehow got punctured. This resulted in the power steering fluid dripping out in large quantities.

I was working at my previous job when the manager strolled up to my desk:

“Ummm…there’s some kind of large pool of liquid forming underneath your car…?”

Yeeeeeah…about that…

I had to drive to Auto Zone, buy two bottles of power steering fluid to keeping refilling it until it was repaired the next day. I knew when it was getting near empty; the car could barely make turns. I had to throw the wheel all the way to the left or right with great strength, like a pirate navigating an ancient ship in a colossal storm.

NOW THAT’S JUST A HIGHLIGHT. It was always in-and-out of the mechanic shop. There were so many continuous issues with the car, that after awhile when I would see my Check Engine Light happily turn on as it frequently did, I’d just put a post-it note over it and pretend all was well.

The final straw was when the car would RANDOMLY SHUT OFF. At stop lights, stop signs…any time the car stopped, basically. The first time it happened, I was going through the Starbucks drive-thru during my lunch, and the car randomly died as I was driving out of the drive-thru. I slowly glided in the car going 1 mph, and steered it into a parking stall that was thankfully nearby.

All of the mechanics who dealt with that car should qualify for sainthood. Now I have my Challenger…which has been heaven sent in comparison because it seldom gives me any problems! And any problem it may have…seems like nothing compared to what I went through with my previous car! LOL! 😋

I hope you enjoyed my funny story! See ya!

Pastels and Lime Crime, Oh My!

Hi there! *tips nonexistent hat*

I did some winter wear shopping this past weekend at Forever 21, and I went there on the lookout for a very particular color palette!! I bought many pastels.

I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about colors. 💜💚💖 They’re everywhere, no? I’m sure you have colors you prefer to wear and feel most confident in. I tend to feel most confident and happy when I’m wearing brighter colors – especially pastels!

One of my purchased items was this baby blue jacket:

I found this jacket in the girl’s section of Forever 21, hoping that it would fit, and it DID. I also bought the cutest sweater in the girl’s department that I will definitely wear in a future post! It’s fuzzy and pink – bestill my heart!

Here is another outfit I wore today – my new dusty rose sweater I bought (also purchased it in green):

💚🦄 My first Lime Crime purchase!!! 🦄 💜

Oh gosh, I am so excited to show you guys this!!!

I decided to purchase an eyeshadow kit from Lime Crime. They are a vegan makeup line that has the most astonishingly gorgeous makeup products! Very bright and beautiful things to choose from. I’d been wanting to buy from them for awhile, and so I finally did…Merry Christmas to me…

I was pleasantly surprised to receive not one but two free products, along with my initial purchase! The above photo is an eyeshadow palette I received for free {the case is the most beautiful little thing I’ve ever seen!!!}

I also received this beautiful lip gloss for free! It’s a nude shade that I definitely have been sporting lately! {It also smells like cherries!}

I bought the 10th Birthday Eyeshadow Palette. Love love love!  The colors go on so smoothly and stay put all day. I will definitely buy again from Lime Crime in the future!

I’m not a winter person, but I always try to make the best out of things and seasons are no different! Plus, there are some perks to winter time. I’ve started an inspirational notebook where I write pretty much anything that is inspiring, or ideas, and here are two pages from it:

I’ve been on a roll and I think it’ll be easy to fill this sucka up. I write a lot of gratitude lists in it, too. This will be a great way to fight the “winter blues” which tends to happen in January-ish for me, I’ve noticed; I start longing for spring and summer!

And yes I TOTALLY mentioned Orion’s Belt…it’s my favorite thing to see in the night sky. Only in fall/winter it’s visible earlier in the night – at least in my part of the hemisphere.

What about you guys? Do you keep a notebook filled with inspiration? Ideas? A lot of the time my mind is chillin’ in the exosphere thinking about random things, so having a notebook handy is great for penning down ideas.

See you next time! 💜

Christmas Fun and My Newly Acquired Fairy Wand

Hallå!!! 🎄

Everyone has their own personal feelings about Christmas time. Some feel that magical joy, others may feel indifferent, and then some may not like it at all for various reasons of their own.

Me? I absolutely looooooove this time of year! BRING IT ON!!!

I took some photos at a local Christmas tree farm recently. It was an enchanting little place that only fueled my already-existing Christmas cheer I’ve been all about lately!

My “not ready for the camera” face…also, this photo accurately shows just how short I am.

This bow is literally a Christmas decoration from Dollar Tree. I turned it into a clip-on pin, and there you have it! I immediately turn into a Christmas present. 🎁

I hope you all feel the Christmas magic in some way, shape, or form. There’s plenty of it to be found; all you have to do is look around, really. ❤️

I have my Christmas shopping complete! My favorite part is wrapping it all up and making it look pretty. In addition to the main gifts, I included pink snowflake confetti, chocolates, German cinnamon star cookies (Zimtsterne)…I went all out!

In my next post, I will show you my gift wrapping! 💜

In other news, I now have a squishy wand in my purse, if I ever need it. For anything. Like maybe, granting a wish, turning a pumpkin into a carriage, self-defense against an assailant, etc. It’s very multi-purpose.

Assailant sitting in jail: “Yeah I went to purse-snatch this woman but she bludgeoned me over the head with a fairy wand.”

This great wand was given to me when I went walking down Candy Cane Lane to see Christmas lights with a group of adorable human beings who dress in Lolita fashion.

DID I MENTION IT LIGHTS UP IN BURSTS OF FLASHES??? 🌟 So not only is it a wand, but it can also be used to have a spontaneous one-woman rave, wherever I go.

Lastly…I put up my PINK CHRISTMAS TREE!!!

I have always wanted a pink tree! I finally did it and went with a Barbie theme for the ornaments. I absolutely love it and it turned out just as lovely as I envisioned! 💖

‘Til next time!!!

Harajuku Night

IMG_5562 (1)

What a Saturday it’s been! I’m happy to share a fun event I attended tonight called Harajuku Night, which was a Japanese Fashion show and concert!

Screen Shot 2018-11-13 at 11.59.43 AM

I was invited to take part in the fashion show, which was totally new and different for me! The J-fashion style that I resonate with the most is hime gyaru, which consists of lots of pink, pastels, florals, bows and big hair.  💜 I incorporated those elements into my ensemble, of course!

There were lots of other girls and guys who took part in the fashion show, and I actually ended up being the most casually dressed of the bunch, haha!! Everyone looked amazing. 🌸

You know, if you’d have asked me years ago if I would have the courage to get on stage for a fashion show, I’d probably say no way. I am really thankful that I’ve grown confidence as I’ve gotten older!

Takin’ the stage…a deer in the headlights!!!

PhEri is an adorable, Southern California-based musical duo who performed after the fashion show, and were the main act. You can check out their Instagram here. They were SOOOOOOOO CUUUUUUTTEEEEEEEEEEEEEE… 💜

So glad I got to chat with them and take a photo! Totally fun night and a neat experience for me!!! ❤️ Aren’t they just the epitome of cuteness?!

I hope you all are having a fun weekend! See ya again soon!
