WELCOME BACK to another exciting tale of me going for walks and eating interesting things!!! In today’s post, they are macarons. Y’all probably know how much I love macarons, so this was a golden moment. LOOK AT HOW BEAUTIFUL THEY ARE…

What a tasty treat to accompany my coffee as I went for a late afternoon walk. βοΈπ When I ordered a frappucino through the Rare Earth Coffee drive thru, I decided to LIVE ON THE EDGE and when the barista asked through the crackle of the speakers, “Is there a particular macaron flavor you’d like for each?” My reply was, “Surprise me…!” Boy did I luck out because these were top notch… I ate ’em while I walked. ππ₯
Dusty pink and white outfit with fun puffy hair clips:

It got up to 107 degrees recently in good ol’ Fresno, California. π Most residents absolutely loathe this characteristic of summer here in Central California, but I’m that weirdo who doesn’t mind triple digits. I don’t go walking when it gets deep into the 100’s though (excessive heat warnings and such), but this day it was a lovely 99 degrees. Noice!! ππΌ
Fun fact: during my walk, I saw some vultures flying overhead.
Red, black and white outfit topped off with ladybug hair clips:

I definitely am a bird watcher. I remember the first time I saw a raven when I was visiting Southern California last year, and I was in awe of the strange sound it was making (at that point, I didn’t know what kind of bird it was). I was walking into a coffee shop when I saw it, so eventually I sat down, mocha frappucino in hand, and googled it – indeed, it was a raven, and I’ve seen a few since where I live (now that I can differentiate them from crows!!!)
So I took a drive out of the city to the countryside after my walk and was lucky enough to spot a raven sitting alone on a wire fence along the freeway as I drove by. β€οΈ Made me smile!! I love all birds, however, I’m particularly drawn to the raven so I was extra happy about seeing one.
I also stopped and took a photo of distant rain clouds in the mountains:

Hooray for a Saturday full of macaron tasting, frappucino sipping, bird watching, exercising and admiring nature. Quite a day!!! πΈ Do you have a favorite bird? Let me know in the comments!
See ya next time!!

You look great in both these outfits! The red/white/black one is my favorite; I love the colors, the pattern mixing, and the spectator shoes!! I wouldn’t have been as brave as you were in letting the barista choose your macaroons. Way to take a chance; glad it turned out delicious! That’s a beautiful pic of the distant rain clouds in the mountains. You take the best nature photography; not only is it visually lovely, but it always strikes me as contemplative. My favorite bird is the parrot, because of the colors. Even though they’re kind of mean. π

Thank you – I had fun with the pattern mixing in that outfit! β€οΈ Also, thank you so much for the nature photography compliment; that made my whole day!! Parrots are beautiful birds and so colorful, indeed!

Looks fun! I know you’re as eager to get back in the nail salon as I am–I notice you’re missing the classic pick claws. π β₯

Haha yesss, my little claws are gone! It was so weird at first having super short nails! Although now I’m used to them and they’re so much easier to handle (typing is waaay faster!) π

Oh WOW… I love the shoes! π You should put NEW shiny pennies in the top of the shoes !
That macaroon is amazing and looks yummy! lol “Surprise me.”
Love the outfit and CUTE puffy hair clips!! β€
I am also a weirdo that likes it HOT.. lol but 107 may be at my LIMIT.. thank your hypothalamus for that!
When it is 93 degrees it feels lovely to me when everyone else is sweating profusely I am comfortable.
But I also wear like 2 coats and long underwear here in the winter when other people can tolerate a light jacket at 30 degrees I am freezing!
I love the ladybug hair clips too! SUPER CUTE!
I miss having the time to watch birds with my huge binoculars π I should try to do that more often… and bring my mom along as well. Ravens are very interesting birds! Ravens Are Smarter Than Human Children. It turns out that ravens are, in some ways, more intelligent that humans. Google "Why Ravens and Crows Are Earthβs Smartest Birds"
Looks like you had a wonderful day!! .. love the picture of the big open field and rain clouds π

Thanks!!! Yes, hot weather feels very comfortable to me too! Winter is hard for me as well because I’m always freezing, too. That’s cool that you have binoculars for bird watching! I have heard how intelligent ravens are – super cool! π It was a wonderful day, indeed!
