Stars, Bears, and Fourth of July Cake

Fourth of July weekend: tis the season of stars, stripes, and being woken up in the wee hours of the night by someone in the neighborhood setting off illegal fireworks and it sounding like the Battle of Gettysburg outside!!! πŸ˜€β€οΈ All silliness of mine aside, I really do love the Fourth of July and I thought it would be fun to wear this pale blue dress, blue stars in my hair, and bears, because they make everything more fun!

Dress: Forever 21
Bears: Etsy
Shoes: Koi Footwear, Dolls Kill

I was feeling fun and decided to make a Fourth of July cake today so I can eat some tomorrow too for the actual holiday! It’s a strawberry cake and here’s how it turned out…πŸ“πŸ°

I topped it with rainbow chip frosting and fresh strawberries! Deeeeee-lish!

See ya next time!! ❀️

  1. “Fourth of July weekend: tis the season of stars, stripes, and being woken up in the wee hours of the night by someone in the neighborhood setting off illegal fireworks and it sounding like the Battle of Gettysburg outside!!!” LOL! I loved this. Because it’s clever, yes, but also because there have been fireworks going off here all weekend (the loudest just now). Anyway, what a super cute kawaii Fourth look! The sky blue shade of the star clips is perfect, and bears really do make everything more fun. Speaking of fun, what a great idea to make a Funfetti cake for the Fourth! The unicorn on the box is the best; its rainbow hair and eyelash-fringed eye are so whimsical. And your cake turned out beautiful; enjoy every strawberry-rific bite! πŸ™‚

    1. Hahaha, I’m glad you enjoyed the intro!! Hopefully the loud fireworks didn’t keep you up! And thanks so much for the nice compliments; it was fun baking the cake and even more fun eating it! πŸ™‚
