I hope everyone had a great weekend! 🙂 I had a very fun weekend and my friend and I went to a reeeeeally cute coffeehouse.
But first! An outfit:
Yet another thrifted skirt! This is a wrap skirt. I love the beige color, which is new for me. I wore the waist high up, Steve Urkel status…
My bow almost matched perfectly! KIND OF.
Now, onto the coffeehouse!
I drove two hours north to Modesto on this fine Sunday with my friend, just to check out a cool coffeehouse I somehow found out about. It was totally worth the little drive! Plus, I got to enjoy the well-known Highway 99. I know a lot of people find it boring, but I actually find it a bit magical in its own way. It’s nothing but open fields, and during golden hour, it’s truly beautiful in my opinion.
Anyway, the coffeehouse is called Queen Bean Coffeehouse. ♥
I loved the art they had everywhere. It was stunning!
Really nice place! It was cozy and welcoming with quirky décor and an alternative-friendly atmosphere. They also host open mic nights for people to play music, sing, etc. I definitely would love to come back here sometime.
The coffee drink (a blended mocha) was super yummy. 😀 Two thumbs up!
Have a happy start to your week! ♥
Once a month, my artist friend and I go to Art Hop. It’s downtown, and really a lot of fun! You get to see a lot of people and chat with artists who display their beautiful work. There’s so much variety that it’s impossible to not be in awe!
I went with a bright colored outfit, of course. The daisy headband always adds a splash of fun. ❤
This was unexpected. That is rain, as you can see. Although I knew there was a chance of rain this week, the probability is always low here, especially in the summer! But, what do you know – it happened. ❤
Really loved this exhibit, because it had that very 60’s pop culture/space age vibe going on! So cool. There were so many amazing art exhibits, both inside the galleries and on the street. It always inspires me to keep creating my own art, as well. ❤
We stopped by this coffee shop downtown called The Brew. It’s small and very cute, with a personable atmosphere. I had an iced raspberry mocha. Sooooo good, and the raspberry wasn’t overpowering at all – a nice hint that really complimented the mocha.
Overall, it was a very fun night and I look forward to next month’s show!
While we’re on the subject of art, I wanted to share some of my own, as I’m in the process of getting my art portfolio together…
Coffee & Croissant Time!
Folks, I’m not used to doing abstract art as pictured above, because I love going into details. However! It’s a lot more fun than I thought. Getting messy with colors and creating a paired art piece was a fun concept. 🙂
Have a happy Friday! ❤
Yeah. I like the title of this post!
It’s a mash-up of my Outfit of the Day and the place I am currently typing this blog post at.
So, since I’m still on a flower crown kick, I had to document my oh-so girly outfit that I’m really loving today. 🙂 This headband I’m wearing, I bought at Claire’s. I love the little fabric flowers on it – makes me feel like a fairy of some sort, like I should be floating around aimlessly in a garden or something, haha.
I just loooove pink and white together. Such a pretty color combination!
This morning I met my sister at Yellow Mug, a really cute locally-owned coffee house where I live. I love the atmosphere and the friendly staff, and their drinks are aaaaaaamazing.
Lemon and blueberry macarons. ❤
Isn’t this adorable?! I love their wall decor. ❤ Happy Monday!
