Like my Smashing Pumpkins blog post title? Notice I am wearing butterfly hair clips…?? Also, I have an outfit to show you that involves the Pumpkins. So let’s start!
First off, THIS SHIRT. It’s the most gorgeous shade of purple I’ve ever seen and you can find it for purchase here.
I ordered this in the mail from eBay. It is Korean-style fashion, apparently! I’m a size US Small, but it recommends to size up one since it’s sized in Asia measurements.
LOVE IT. It fits perfectly! The intricate details on the front and the lace sleeves are beautifully feminine. I actually have this same shirt in light pink, and a similar one in beige. I wear them both frequently. I’ve been super pleased with all three purchases now!
My butterfly hair clips are actually glue-on appliques from Joann Fabric! I simply glued alligator clips on the back of each. How easy is that? 🙂 So simple to do and looks super cute!!!
New saddle shoes from BAIT footwear! These are so fun. Ahhhhh…♥
You can find these same shoes here.
On the creative spectrum, I’ve been staying quite busy!!! I’m happy to show the ensemble I’ve decided on for the upcoming Smashing Pumpkins concert I’m going to on the 27th in Oakland! Can you tell I’m excited?
So for my outfit, I definitely went with a Mellon-Collie-era theme! I love the whimsical, dreamy aesthetic the band went with during this period of their music.
I printed out the star lady from the album cover and made it into a ring. ♥
I’ve had this star headband for awhile now…glad to be putting it to good use again! I feel like this really tops off the whole look. I can’t waaaaaaaaaaaait!
Originally, I thought I would wear a Smashing Pumpkins shirt with a skirt. However, my hair hides anything on the front of a shirt, which is why I seldom ever wear a shirt with a picture on it.
Instead, I thought I’d get creative and create my own band-inspired outfit.
I’m going to do the same for the Ghost concert in November. I’m happy to say that I’ve already started on the jewelry for that, and here’s a sneak peek…
It’s done – all I need to do is glue a ring-back on it. OH MY GOSH, I HAVE A GHOST RING. ♥ I’ll probably make another one. Crafting is addicting, you guys…
…because a fresh new ring was also made Saturday night! Tracy over at The Tote Trove inspired me to make a Disney princess statement ring, awhile after I read her blog post about having made a gorgeous Disney princess necklace.
Joann Fabric is where I found the Beauty and the Beast packet of buttons. I plan on getting the packet with Princess Jasmine in it so I can make one of her in the future.
This ring is HUGE. But it definitely catches your eye, and is a good conversation piece!
