Hiiiii! I hope you all enjoyed your Valentine’s Day! I really did because I ate waaay too many conversation hearts, LOL!
Aside from that, I enjoyed Petit Fours (one of my favorite pastries!) I bought these for myself and my mom and sister to enjoy. They’re from Swiss Colony and I highly recommend their yummy products!
I love the colors of Valentine’s Day, so I really played it up today with my pink and red outfit. ❤️ I literally wanted to be Valentine’s Day personified and I think I succeeded! Yeah?
The bottom photo is a sweet and simple illustration I made recently! 💜 How did you all enjoy your Valentine’s Day? I don’t know about you all, but I’m ending the day with pizza! I always get myself pizza on Valentine’s Day. 😍 It’s a tradition!
Happy weekend!!! I am feeling that ‘winter, you have overstayed your welcome…’ and am longing for spring something fierce. The solution is, if you can’t make spring hurry up, then you can just BECOME Spring. Like literally become the season with legs.
Are you a fall, winter, summer or spring person? Which is your favorite? I’ve always loved fall and it being the gateway to the holiday season, but then I know in the back of my mind that winter will soon arrive. Thus, I’ve realized spring is my true soul season because it means winter is over and I can be outside more, enjoying the warmth! Plus, it means summer is on its way and I love the smell of blossoms in the air during spring. 💜
Check out my new apple hair bows and unicorn necklace from The Tote Trove! I’m so loving these accessories; they add a whole other level of cuteness!
Art Hop was an absolute BLAAAAAAAAAST and my Valentine’s Day- themed display table turned out so lovely, I thought! The turn out was really big and there was a lot of foot traffic.
The one thing though that absolutely made my entire evening, was this painting! One of my friends, Phil, was also showcasing his work…and much to my surprise, he had done a painting…of me!
I stood there, mouth agape, and was like…”Is that me???”
He was a bit bashful about it at first, not sure how I would react. I was overjoyed! Honored, happy, and probably the highest compliment I could receive! 💜
Hi, and happy Thursday! Today is Art Hop night and I’m super excited. 😃 I wanted to post my outfit beforehand because I reeeeeeeeally love it!
I recently bought a few pastel cardigans from Amazon, and I love how they pair so nicely with the clothes I already have! I love mixing pastels together, and so here you have a soft blue and pink ensemble:
Closeup of my gigantic hair and my ladybug hairclips…love these little guys!!
It’s been I thiiiiiiink…since October when I last showcased at Art Hop? Long time. Therefore, the excitement for tonight is even more so and I have some friends who are also showcasing at the same spot. FUN FUN FUN…
I look forward to sharing how it went in my next post! How has everyone’s week been? Good, I hope? 😉 Seeeeee you next time!
It is a cold, windy weekend with even a thunderstorm warning that came through…exciting!! Fortunately I was able to watch the rain and wind through the comfort of a Starbucks window…
My ensemble today consists of two colors that I think work magically well together! Pink and yellow!
I love these groovy bell-sleeves: it’s a mesh top from Forever 21 with a pink H&M cardigan over it. The skirt is also from Forever 21. ❤️
It was a productive past week and I made some new Valentine’s Day themed rings for my Etsy shop!! It has been way too long since I made anything new and I’m happy with the outcome. 😃 Cute, no?
I also spent a lot of time on my newest illustration, and I think it turned out great for my first religious-themed piece. I’ve always loved the Virgin Mary, so I knew it was something I wanted to depict artistically eventually.
It also helped that I’ve been reliving the Smashing Pumpkins concert I attended in November by watching the videos I recorded of it, and the backdrops when they sang “Mayonaise” have always stuck with me. So I did my own take on the Virgin Mary.
Shoutout to the last beautiful backdrop they had up at the end of the song, which I (sadly) didn’t get a photo of on my own phone! Some memories stir the soul and this concert definitely did that for me.
And then my Friday night was made when I was sitting at Starbucks perusing YouTube and saw that Ghost just performed live on a French television show…
And as if that weren’t awesome enough, it followed with an interview of the lead singer completely unmasked, for once.
Check out my new hair clips that feature lady bugs…one of my favorite bugs! They’re kind of hard to tell what they are in my dark hair, but they’re lady bugs no less…
So now I have gone from butterflies to lady bugs. Interchangeably, of course!
I’ve been wanting some lady bug hair clips for awhile; I decided to just make them (they are iron-ons, and I glued alligator clips to the back of each). Yay! The day just feels better if you have bugs in your hair.
I am legitimately in love with this pink sweater? It’s the brightest pink I think I have ever seen…it’s even brighter in person, the camera can’t do it complete justice!
I now have four of these sweaters, all in different colors. I own yellow, mint green, blue (haven’t worn that one yet), and now pink. You can find a link to these sweaters here! They are so warm and fun to wear.
I can’t believe it’s almost February! I’m so excited for two reasons: 1) I love Valentine’s Day; it’s one of my favorite holidays and 2) I’m showcasing at Art Hop. I’m doing a Valentine’s Day-themed art display, so it’ll be cute!
Did you all enjoy January? 🌸 I hope so. One month closer to spring, no?
Today’s post is a mashup of an outfit-of-the-day and showcasing a cool antique item I own; I decided, why not give it a photoshoot of its own?!
I have a small collection of antiques, and one that I really love is this tiny porcelain doll. This little gal is a 1980’s, Soviet Union-era toy doll that came to me all the way from Moscow, Russia. ❤️ I’ve had it for a couple of years.
I love her poofy red hair and pink dress. She’s so tiny and cuuuuute! ♥️ I like that she is a bit disheveled but still so dainty; a few dirt smudges and a frayed bow – a little antique from a state that no longer exists. But this fragile doll is like: I’m still here, a little piece of history.
I’m a big history lover; on a particular note, I’ve always been fascinated by abandoned Soviet buildings. I don’t know why. Something about the old concrete structures – scratched, rusted and faded Cyrillic words painted on peeling walls – gives me a mysteriously melancholic feeling.
Do you have any historical things you are drawn to? I have several, but this is just one in particular. I have a few other USSR antiques, but I wanted to showcase my favorite one – the porcelain doll. ♥️
Above is my crazed stalker expression. Isn’t it so seductive and attractive? NOT!!!!!
I added little pink socks to my look and I’m loving my glittery butterfly hairclips (I bought them on Etsy)! 😀 My skirt I bought off Amazon along with the shoes, the socks are from Forever 21, and the sweater is from H&M.
