Last night was amaaaaaaaaaazing…
Like seriously. Amazing.
I went to a local art show downtown, where people showcased their work. It’s called Art Hop, it’s once a month, and essentially you walk around downtown from one studio to another and admire people’s work. I saw so many amazing artwork, and it made me feel fortunate to know there are so many talented people in the city I live in!
From the photo above: random shots in different studios, one in which was called Pop Art where you could literally pop all of the balloons and bubble wrap your heart desired! There were balloons on the walls, on the floor…and get this: they served pop tarts. My mind was blown from how creatively thought out it was!
Secondly, I bought a vintage handbag on Etsy. It’s super adorable and it’s from the 1960’s – and was only $25! This thing looks brand new and it’s hard to believe it made it through so many decades unscathed!
And now, for today’s outfit…
It went from beautiful and warm to cold and rainy in a matter of a day. Not so surprising considering April is upon us.
Umbrellas make for aesthetically pleasing backdrops though, don’t they?
With my new handbag, I literally feel like I could time travel back to the mid-century without a transition being needed…
That bedazzled unicorn was once a necklace, but I seldom wear necklaces, so I turned it into a ring. 🙂
Happy Friday! ❤
That’s not my front door, by the way. I wish it was, though!
I’ve been noticing the color coral frequently popping up in my wardrobe! It’s super springy and pretty, so I can’t get enough of it. I bought a flowy top from Forever 21 yesterday, and it paired well with a coral skirt I already had (also from Forever 21).
The different coral hues really paired well and created an ultra feminine outfit!
I hope everyone is enjoying their Wednesday!
Outfit post time!
I found this super cute, nostalgic little blouse number at Goodwill, no tags in it, so I’m under the strong impression that this was something that was completely made from scratch and sewn by hand. I can’t tell how old it is, but with its puffy sleeves and floral print, I feel like it’s been around for quite awhile.
I can’t express how much I love wearing white. I used to never wear white, but I find myself more often than not wearing the color now. I think the white skirt paired really well with the blouse.
So glad I could get a clear close-up of the details! I love the cinched sleeves at the elbows, and the cute little yellow and orange flowers. I love the silhouette it creates.
So after taking outfit photos, in the COLD I might add (what happened to the 70/80 degree temperatures I’ve been spoiled with lately?) I drove across town to the cutest little gem of a coffee shop called Yellow Mug Coffee. That’s an iced mocha I ordered, and it’s delicious.
Hope everyone is having a lovely Thursday! 🙂
With the warm weather and sunny skies today, I really wanted to capture the beauty of spring that’s all around us. 🙂
There’s nothing like spending time outdoors and enjoying the sunshine and warmth on one’s skin.
I really love the dress I’m wearing today! It has an old fashion, prairie-like vibe to it.
Hope everyone is having a lovely Tuesday, wherever you are! 🙂
Yesterday, I had the privilege to get a pack of cookies from the Hello Kitty Café truck that was touring through my city! The line was really long but it was still fun, nonetheless. My friend and I just stood in line and talked the entire time. I love anything cutesy and pink, so this was all-too perfect and I couldn’t miss the opportunity.
I really loved my outfit yesterday, which was a turquoise blue dress that had me feeling like a Disney character all day. The weather has sprung into the 70’s, so it’s comfortable wearing short sleeves now.
You know I had to wear my handmade Hello Kitty ring to the Hello Kitty Café. 😉
Really liking these puffy sleeves!
Overall, it was an amaaaaaaazing day. I realized, if I am so easily charmed by cute pastries and such, I need to visit Tokyo where that kind of thing is everywhere! 😛 I’d be overwhelmed by such cuteness.
I don’t wear blue very often, but I just received this pretty blue skirt from Amazon and I really love the color. 🙂
It is a very pretty sky blue color. There is a nice texture to it too that doesn’t really come out on camera, but it’s very soft.
Surrounded by a big fat pile of books…sounds about right for me. 😛
Overall, this look sort of has a fairytale-vibe to it…or perhaps it is because the color combination reminds me of Belle in the beginning of Beauty and the Beast. 😉
I just recently bought a pastel, vintage gingham skirt online that I can’t wait to get! Once I do, you know I’ll blog about it. LOL! I also have a sky blue skirt and a mint green skirt on the way in the mail, too. I’m so excited about it that it’s probably not normal.
But for today…
More yellow. Lemon-y goodness.
I’m really becoming obsessed with this color, friends. Also, I have this weird obsession with two varied hues of the same color (i.e., pale yellow with a brighter shade of yellow).
I love my gigantic hair…
These shoes! They’re my favorite that I own. Gold and jewels paired together…yes please!
By the end of writing this post, I now realize I look like a banana. I finally figured it out.
Nonetheless, I’m really liking this outfit today! Can’t wait for my other skirts to arrive in the mail, just in time for spring. I will look like a walking Easter egg soon enough!
Anyone else a huge fan of pastels? 🙂
