How’s Summer Going? β˜€οΈπŸ“š Fashion Faves and Reading My First Book From Princeton University Press!

Don’t mind the brown tarp behind my head in these outfit photos; it’s been put up to try to shade some of the sun from getting in the living room! I think it adds a visual flair, heh heh.

First off: I loved these two outfits I documented! πŸ’™πŸ’—πŸ’œ

Ring + Purse: Temu
Blue Skirt: SHEIN / Skirt Extender: Amazon / Shoes: Dolls Kill
Top: SHEIN
Skirt: SHEIN / Purse: Mercari

I finally picked out my first book from Princeton University Press this summer! I decided on How to Interpret the Constitution by Cass R. Sunstein.

Looking at the reviews printed on the back of the book when I received it, I noticed that most of the reviews were from people who went to prestigious law schools. Like, Yale, Stanford, HARVARD. Wait – what?!?!

I realized that the book is geared towards those studying constitutional law. Yikes!!!!!! Could ol’ fine-arts-degree-me handle a book this intellectually advanced? I was a bit nervous until I started reading it – then I couldn’t put it down! The author writes in such a way that is pretty easy to understand! I didn’t think I’d be able to keep up, honestly.

I come off as air-headed and a bit derpy when you talk to me in person, and it’s made me feel intellectually inferior for much of my life because it makes me seem kind of immature, I guess? (My written communication is SO MUCH better!). So the fact that I’m trying to learn about such a complex topic as the constitution makes me feel smart. And that makes me feel like a million bucks!!! It’s exactly the confidence boost I needed, but didn’t know I needed.

I did not expect this book to boost my confidence. NOT AT ALL. But it has! And, it’s such a great read that has me learning a lot. I will very likely buy another book in the future from Princeton University Press! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

So, cheers to summer reading and feeling good about yourself! 😎 How has your summer been? πŸ‘‡πŸΌ

  1. Now, you can explain the Constitution to our clueless lawmakers. You do so much reading I can’t imagine you come off derpy. You look lovely in your skirts and accessories. Expressing oneself orally and written are very different. I’ve never been good at public speaking. I’m much better at writing.

  2. Oh, I’m having my problems with WordPress! I just saw that you liked my comment about, well, WordPress, then checked back here and saw that my other comment didn’t go through. Anyway, here’s what I’d written:

“I thought I posted this comment days ago, but when I checked, no luck! Anyway, because of before, I copied and pasted my comment in Word, so here it is . . . fingers crossed!

I’ve always loved your Barbie bag! It’s a perfect match for your butterfly ring and makes for a fun contrast to your black top and pastel skirt. Of course, the choker and combat boots add your signature edge. That’s very interesting about your latest read. We never know which books will speak to us! That said, your posts have always struck me as not only light-hearted, but introspective and deep. Still, I know what you mean about thinking about yourself one way only to discover that you have other layers. πŸ“˜πŸ˜πŸŽ€”

I love reading and commenting on all your posts and don’t want to missing anything! So I’ll make sure to keep checking that all my comments come through. 😁

    1. I’m sooo sorry that WordPress is acting up; I’m not sure if they changed something with the comments?? I tried checking to make sure my comment settings were okay, but didn’t notice anything off, so maybe it’s a WordPress glitch happening. I appreciate you trying to post these comments so much! πŸ’“ Thank you for the sweet comment!! I love reading and commenting on all your posts, too!
